What is Wake the World?
Wake the World is coming to Lake Gaston in partnership with AF Wake, the Bruce Washburn Foundation and Watersview Restaurant! Wake the World
(WTW) is a 501(c) non-profit organization supported by volunteer boat owners providing watersports opportunities to children that may not have the resources to enjoy a day on the water.
The goal of the program is simple... Get local kids in surrounding counties out for a day on the lake!
When & Where?
Wake the World will take place at Watersview Restaurant on July 14th, 2023, from 10:30 am to 4 pm.

How can I volunteer?
There are many, but limited, roles to fill in this event, both on land and on water. Roles include:
- Boat driver
- Registration confirmation
- Food and beverage coordination
- Life jacket assistance and coordination
- Games and activities
- Boat coordinator
- Community outreach
